It is a good sign. I agree. He is getting more chances under Moyes than he ever did with MP as manager. But you must agree that we aren't really in a position to have our main striker go on a bit of a drought. Be it whether is just unlucky at the moment or not. He has got to start banging them in sharpish.

Getting those chances is a good sign. Over the season his finishing hasn't been a problem. His xG is around 7 goals, he's scored 6 - it's fine.

Haller had a headed chance in the first half against Sheff Utd and instead of heading it back into far corner he tried to head it down and up into roof of net and just basically headed it into the floor and it bounced up to the keeper. He then got found at far post, tight angle, but he skyed his volley way over.

There chances and if taken just makes our life a whole lot easier. That's all I am saying. Not saying we played particularly well or, in fact, deserved to win.... Just saying that in last few games Haller has started to get more chances and not taking them. So defending him as he is isolated and / or gets no service is becoming more difficult.

I like the fella but he has got to start taking these odd chances or we will be going down.

Yes, for chances created. Everton and Sheff Utd games recently. Haller provided with 2 or 3 great chances in the first half of both games. It should've been tied up by half time in both of those games. Palace at home; we created several decent chances and never put them away and ended up losing. Bournemouth away also, had some chances near the end which should've won it.

So you can be as negative as you want, mate. Not my problem. But at the end of the day if we had a bloke up top taking chances then in the games I mentioned we should've been home and dry.

Sold, one of my mates knows his old man. Someone bet him he wouldn’t do it.
He’d been planning it all week.
The stewards asked the owners what they wanted to do (nick him or not) apparently they said he’s the future let him go. They gave him a scarf and let him go.

Ha ha ha... fair play... yeah I bet Brady and co will love it in 5 years time he's legging it on and chinning an oppo' player Bunter style... fair play to the young Acorn

On the plus side Haller has only missed one game through injury. Antonio on the other hand, when he is fit we need to wrap him in cotton wool. Keeping him fit could be the key to us staying up

Don, if that's true and they did give him a scarf and no punishment its refreshing to hear and very out of character for them. Glad the little fella didn't get banned, he ran on right in front of where I sit and it was great viewing, even the stewards were laughing as he ducked and avoided them. They literally didn't know what to do and were so hesitant to touch him. He had a phone in his hand that was almost as big as him.

Threesixty, that's my point on Haller, he's constantly looking for the cheap foul. Surely we didn't pay £45m to just buy dubious free kicks.

"Haller playing up top on his own is being targeted by the oppo, by going to ground he's looking for a free kick opportunity."

This is what I've been thinking. But it's so obvious and ref's dont care when strikers are always looking for the foul. Plus he's slow so its not like Hazzard or Zaha when defenders are mistiming tackles all the time.

He will be better off battling and trying to stay on his feet.
Also, him winning headers is useless when there is no one beside him or ahead of him to flick it on to.

When Arnie used to play Haller's role he prefered the ball to feet. He'd hold off players and bring others in or do it himself. Haller needs to watch some videos! He cant keep playing as if he's the second striker when he's the only one there.

"Everton were awful in the first half and you knew they would not be as bad in the second half."

That was always the worry. Seen a few games this year where we should have been out of sight and we aren't. It will eventually be what does us this season. If you can't take a team out when they are struggling then you are fucked.

West Ham dominated the first half but didn't capitalise on the opportunities. Noble and Rice were stand out with Snodgrass not far behind.
Everton were awful in the first half and you knew they would not be as bad in the second half.

Haller was dreadful - he is a championship player. He lacks pace, strength for a big guy he gets knocked off the ball too easy and was in my opinion at fault for the goal as he should have attacked the ball rather than ball watching - he is a real duff signing. Lanzini is a No.10 being played out of position but has struggled since the injury.

The ground is so shit that i decided i am not going anymore, the matchday experience going to the pub near the round rather than being subjected to blairing bollox music from one of the pop up bars is just shit.

I agree to a point. And I have defended Haller this season as he has been too isolated and was not getting service.

However, he missed two good chances against Everton and he also did the same against Sheff Utd. So what should've been 6 points was 1. I don't want to knock the bloke but its getting harder to defend him when he is having the chances created for him and he isn't putting them away. That's what the £45m was for.
